Investigators: Ian, Kim, Paddy and Dave.

Method:
Using visual and scientific methods combined with spiritual theory we were to investigate the alleged paranormal phenomena at this venue. We had been to this venue many times now so we resorted to our tested method of simple vigils with the option of conducting a séance where appropriate, as it was during these conditions most activity occurred. All the normal equipment as above was deployed around the vicinity of the vigil area.

  The Investigation
We arrived on a beautiful clear early evening so decided to take in the ambience of the location as we waited for night to fall before moving into the building to begin the investigation.

Session one – séance by altar.
We took our seats by the altar and linked hands. This was the same as in previous visits when we recorded some very unusual results so has to be tried again. Dave began by calling out out intentions and introducing ourselves then followed on to ask repeatedly for responses or activity. He was joined by Ian and Paddy who also took turns to speak allowed to see what responses would be forthcoming.

Session two – vigil in south west corner.
This took the form of a simple vigil, we each took seats of our choice in the selection of pews in this corner of the church, then from his position Dave again began calling allowed. This remained the case until the close of the vigil.

Session three – vigil in north west corner.
This again took the form of a simple vigils we moved across the west end of the church to the northern most isle and again took seats of our choice amongst the pews. Dave again began calling allowed until the lateness of the night took its toll and we decided to close the investigation.

Results
Session one – séance by altar.
No sooner as we had sat down noises were heard and described by Paddy as foot falls. These continued around us for the next few minutes accompanied by what sounded like the sound of movement. We immediately began questioning asking for more evidence but none was forthcoming and the sounds died down.
More noises occasional single noises were heard in the vicinity of Dave tripod mounted camcorder and by Ian's seated by the altar.
Ian commented on lights being seen again certain areas of wall and the columns supporting the roof.
Music and conversation could be heard by the team
Some of these noises were recorded on our camcorder footage.

Session two – vigil in south west corner.
Despite a lengthy period of intense questioning by Dave very little occurred during this session.
At one point paddy did comment on a cold draught across his hear and Ian commented and a similar cold movement of air around him.
Some odd taps were heard in the vicinity but none appeared to be in any responsive. There were two occasions when loud taps were heard from the northern side of the west end of the building, predominantly thought to emanate from the area of the organ and base of the bell tower.
The louder of these noises were recorded on our camcorder footage.

Session three – vigil in north west corner.
During the break between sessions two and three Ian returned to the building as he had heard similar noises from the area of the base of the bell tower. Repeats were requested but not forthcoming, although there were repeated noises heard, just not responsive to Ian's requests.
Given these events and that noises were heard in the last session we decided to take seats in that area for our last vigil of the night.
During the session that followed we experienced a continuation of the occasional tap, a louder one was heard to come from behind Ian again from the vicinity of the organ and another from the main entrance porch. Unfortunately again none of these were repeated when requested and they all seemed very random

Conclusions
Session one – séance by altar.
It was only later during the session that Paddy remarked on seeing a bat fly past, this then drew us to the conclusion that the sound similar to footfalls and movement heard at the start of the session were most likely the motion of bats wings beating within the building. The single noises heard later on, especially the tap heard by Ian's camcorder could, therefore, also be explained by the presence of the bats. This was enforced by bat droppings being found across the top of the altar by Ian's camcorder, some being very fresh, it was most likely this landing that caused the loud tap heard at the time.
The lights seen by Ian were later explained during a break when it was found that car headlights travelling along a distant road could be seen to shine onto the exterior of the building and most probably through the windows an on to the interior surfaces.
The music and conversation could also be explained as music and voices could be heard coming from a property a few miles away, given the still clear evening it was very probable that this is what was heard inside the building.

Session two – vigil in south west corner.
Given the sporadic nature of the few noises that were heard we can only conclude that these noises were naturally occurring. It had been a very warm day and a building of this age would contract at night causing timbers to creak, this or it may possibly of been noises unconsciously caused by the team given that we were sitting on timber pews.
The louder noises heard from the northern side of the west end were more unusual an defined. As they were not in the vicinity of the team we could have caused then and being louder in nature we would not automatically suggest they were naturally occurring. At this time we are unable to explain these.

Session three – vigil in north west corner.
Unfortunately we can only concluded that anything experienced during this session was naturally occurring and not paranormal in nature for the reasons already outlined in the conclusions above.

The night was lacking in results, there were noises heard but this was not as much as we expected given previous investigations here. Nevertheless an enjoyable night was had explaining what we heard and enjoying the peace of the location, a return is, as it always is, very much looked forward too.

During our stay a certain amount of other information was forthcoming to the team of a clairvoyant nature. As Ghost Connections conducts scientifically based investigations we do not publish such observations, however, this information is held on a separate database and may prove interesting when compared to other peoples experiences. Should you wish to discuss this information please email us.

Thanks
Many thanks as always to the owners for their kind support in allowing us access to such a venue. We appreciate the trust bestowed upon us.
