Method:
Our previous investigations have proved eventful and although most of what we had experienced was in the outbuildings we thought tonight should be spent in the main house, which to date we had hardly touched. We were going to spend time split in pairs in different parts of the building carrying out vigils and swapping areas before comparing notes. We find this had been an interesting experiment before and the comparisons startling. We also brought along a glass that was to be filled and left with water, this was in response to a voice we captured on our recordings during our last investigation. The voice appears to ask for a glass of water? Look at the attached video on our investigation report to hear this. We also brought some chalk powder which was to be laid out to see if any impressions might be left in this during the night, that would not be caused by us. As before we will be using our usual trusted equipment being camcorders, voice recorders and digital still cameras .

Investigation:
As we arrived it was a miserable night, cold, windy and rainy, however, we noticed an immediate problem, no keys! One phone call later and we established that the keys had not been left for us as agreed, there goes our plan for the night. We had to resort to parking and carrying our kit the length of the drive to the outbuilding we had been too before and spend our night there again as a whole group.

After setting up in the ground floor room at the northern end of the building we spent some time using the lap top to re-examine the results recorded on the last investigation and discussed them for a bit. Whilst doing so Ian thought he heard some heavy footfalls in the adjacent room and other end of the building, Paddy heard these also. The area was immediately explored but no one and no reason for this could be found. We returned to our seats to start to start the vigil.

We had three camcorders recording different views about the room and hallway outside as well as four voice recorders running. Dave began calling out introducing us and asking for activity that we could record. Paddy began feeling unwell with no explanation. Ian on the other hand began to feel very angry for no reason, and notes that a bad attitude had come over him, he was not happy and didn't want to be here at all. We had not got off to a good start this evening so we decided to have a quick break and try starting again. During this break Ian notes hearing shuffling behind the team as they left the building, as though a man was hiding from us in the shadows, this was very disconcerting.

After the break we changed tapes and placed out our trigger objects in the centre of the room where we could all see them. The chalk powder was scattered over some polythene, we also left next to this a glass of water. Dave began to call out explaining the meaning of the chalk and the glass of water then continued into a question session for EVP, asking for someone's name, age, sex, etc, leaving pauses in between where we might be able to record anyone's response. Then there was a metallic noise tap heard from floor level near Dave and paddy, the cause of this could not be identified. Dave continued then remarks on someone he thought he could make out standing by the door and next to Kim. Then there is a noise heard by the team just in front of Kim again at floor level, it sounded like something being moved, the only thing there was Kim's voice recorder but this had not appeared to have moved. It was as though someone was in that area and moving our stuff about. Ian gasped for no reason then asked if anyone had noticed anything. Nothing was remarked on.

Dave continued calling aloud but with no responses we decided to have another break.

We reconvened for our third session and resumed where we had left off.

For some reason the entire team was very fidgety and uncomfortable and were having difficulty maintaining the vigil without moving, standing up, sitting down again and then the fireworks started, well it was the 8th November. Nothing could be done while there was little to spur us on as well as the commotion outside so another break was called.

When the fireworks had ended we resumed for a fourth session trying as previously to provoke a response. Dave asked how many people visit this place and immediately Ian says aloud “6”, and did not know where this came from. Paddy remarked that for some reason the same number entered his mind too. Ian tried calling aloud and conversing to try to promote a response, may be a different person would help but nothing more occurred. This was to remain the theme for the night and with little going on we decided to stretch our legs and tour the building upstairs and down, we took Ian's camcorder just in case but this too was fruitless.

The night had not got off to the good start we had intended and it went down hill from there, so after a chat we agreed to call it a night, packed our kit and left.

  Results
Little can be said of results. The trigger objects were not affected in anyway, nothing was caught on camcorder, voice recorder or still photo's and there were witnessed occurrences on the night not substantial enough to be of any relevance.
  Conclusions
There are no conclusions to be reached on this occasion other than it should be noted that our plans had to be changed as soon as we got there and we were ill prepared for this. No doubt we would have had a better night had we been able to follow our itinerary.
  Thanks
Thanks again to the owners, not as rewarding an evening as we are used too but never the less we are always grateful for their continued support.
